Advancing Global Mission Together

Lausanne Movement Canada connects, catalyzes, and curates so the Church in Canada can collaborate for the gospel.
We bring together leaders, ideas, and organizations across generations, cultures, and sectors to strengthen the Church’s witness and impact at home and around the world.

We believe leaders in Canada carry the mission through four contributions - overlapping callings that emerge uniquely in each person’s vocation, season, and context. Whether expressed as a Relational Advocate who champions and connects others, a Catalytic Leader who sparks bold ideas, a Faithful Practitioner who cultivates transformation in complex settings, or a Kingdom Investor who enables others through strategic generosity, LMC cultivates spaces where each voice, presence, and contribution strengthens a collaborative, multi-generational movement within the global Lausanne Movement, advancing God’s mission across Canada and around the world

Our legacy

Beginning in 1974, Billy Graham convened the First Lausanne Congress, in Lausanne, Switzerland, uniting the global church around the unfinished task of the Great Commission. Together with 2,400 mission-minded participants from 150 nations, a movement was born. The Lausanne Covenant was introduced at this first congress, and it still unites believers around the world on God’s mission today. World mission was reignited by focusing on unreached people groups and the pressing need for the gospel to go to where it had never gone before.
